At St. Xavier's College, Jaipur, the Department of English endeavors to impart wholesome and holistic knowledge to its beloved students pursuing graduate and postgraduate courses. We not only aim to disseminate subject - specific comprehensive knowledge in the minutest detail, but also put our heart and soul to provide conceptual clarity and in-depth understanding of their academic arena in the true spirit of Xavier's tradition. We attempt to keep a keen eye on the entire range of accomplishments of our students be it in sports, games, or co-curricular activities within the campus through debates, JAMs, quizzes, group discussion, conferences, workshops, and symposiums or while they are interacting with the society outside the precincts of the campus. We aim to guide and aid students to put their best foot forward in order to make the best use of their valuable time and youthful energy, in acquiring optimal knowledge and skills. Learning is complete only if it results in character building and therefore, all-round development of the students is always paramount in our mind. We seek to offer our scholars a pleasant learning setup in a harmonious environment, thus making it a memorable learning experience for them.

The learning shall always be delightful as along with supplementation of a knowledge base of the students we give our best to empower them to help succeed in their careers and face the challenges of life with vigor and confidence thus nurturing them into the finest citizens and true global leaders. We fervently hope that the incessant team efforts of the faculty of the Department, under the visionary direction of the institutional management and administration, combined with the cooperation of the students and supportive association of their parents and showered with the grace of Almighty God, will take us all together to newer heights while glorifying the academe of St. Xavier's College, Jaipur.
